This adventure began, in the troupe of the institute for young blind people. Where Amadou met Mariam, his true love. If he can’t see her, he can say nothing, know nothing, and so he asks her not to abandon him. (from one of their CD jackets)

I’ve been in love with Amadou et Mariam ever since I first heard them, and every new track is like a magical gem. I recently came across this remix of Ce N’est Pas Bon, and I absolutely love it, and I’m sure you will too.

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.
