TWBA

After a long time romance with Kings of Convenience, I can recognize Erlend Øye’s voice anywhere. For some reason, it took six months for The Whitest Boy Alive, essentially Kings of Convenience electronified, to really grow on me. Perhaps because I felt that the simplicity of his songwriting didn’t need that extra push. However TWBA’s songs do have a bit more dance appeal, and prove to be truly enjoyable. Most of the tracks are similar however, and other than these few that stand out, I can’t help thinking, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
