I’m in the middle of an intense road trip, so my posts will be few and far. It’s recently occurred to me that some of my favorite producers get their first real exposure through remixes and serious mash up albums. Danger Mouse mashed up The Beatles‘ White Album with Jay Z‘s Black Album before going on to produce albums for The Black Keys and Gorillaz. Bullion hit in 2008 with Pet Sounds: In the Key of Dee. His recent release, Young Heartache, was swallowed up by Mary Anne Hobbs and sent him touring around the world. You must check out Danger’s post of his Amadou et Mariam remix
