The first thing I have to say about Dinosaur Feathers is that googling that phrase turns up some crazy pictures, go on, try it. Ok, now that you’re back, I first heard about these guys through madeablog.com (thanks girl), because how can you pass up listening to a band with a name like Dinosaur Feathers, and now I am a little bit obsessed. In my usual tradition, I fell into “Parallel July” hard, and ignored all their other songs. It’s a low-key, albeit danceable romp that I had on repeat for a few days, until I finally had the good sense to listen to their other tracks as well. Well, “Early Morning Risers” has me completely sold, with it’s talk of spring and not needing my “winter clothes no longer” (I wish). They’re simple, understated rock, and they’re giving away their EP for free here, it would behoove you to give it a listen.
