I’ve heard Rusko‘s name being thrown around a lot lately, and his recent production for M.I.A. convinced me to check out the rest of his work. This Leeds native makes a pretty hard form of dubstep that’s been able to transcend genres. He also makes some pretty radical remixes. The UK sure has been grinding out some heavy hitters lately.

I discovered Danger around the same time that I first heard Breakbot (way back in 2007), and his upcoming release through Ekleroshock has been getting me really excited. Part producer/graphic desinger/DJ this Frenchman is clearly influenced by Dario Argento/John Carpenter soundtracks and early nineties video games. He did a pretty excellent interview with the guys over at Ohh! Crapp that you should definitely check out. Some of his stuff is a little too techno for me, but I love how it all fits into the same aesthetic. Any fans of Kavinsky/IV/L-Vis 1990 will love this.

I was just sent this fucking radical video by Sunglasses. These Georgians sound a little like the lovechild of Animal Collective/Hudson Mohawke/Twigz and have made one of the best videos I’ve seen in a long time. I’m just getting the info on their upcoming release, so stay tuned for more details.

Jack Cleverly is a London-based electronic pop marvel. He is my first foray with Folktronica. I really dig the lo-fi aesthetic of Things You See, especially the remix by PRDCTV. They’ve got some great stuff going on. Any fans of Will Stratton will love this. His EP is dropping this week through Geometric Records, so you better check it out and throw him some $$$$.
