Flying Lotus‘
Cosmogramma is exceptional.
Flying Lotus has grown into the position of being far more than a producer, influencing a
far reaching strain of artists who are quickly making names for themselves on the scene.
Cosmogramma flows like a piece of classical work, while staying true to the elements that defined
Flylo‘s sound in the first place.
Computer Face//Pure Being hits like it’s straight out of
1983. Guest appearances by
Thom Yorke,
Laura Darlington, and
Thundercat come at just the right times. There are a
couple of moments of the album that are a little too jarring for me, but given
Flylo‘s ever expanding sphere of influence, I’m sure I’ll become more used to them in the next couple of years.
