° Labyrinth Ear – “Snow White” °

Labyrinth Ear is an electronic duo from London who originally sent over a remix they did for Local Natives, but one listen to Snow White begged for a proper feature. This synth-driven jam hits like a cross between M83 and School of Seven Bells. You can download the rest of their material for free on their soundcloud.

° Dam Mantle – “Theatre” °

Dam Mantle is a producer from Glasgow who just sent over a track from his upcoming EP that will be out this September. He plays with pitch shifted vocals, flying them like a kite through a windswept dubstep atmosphere. I love the hints of Kode9, and if you’re a fan of Mount Kimbie/Gold Panda then you’ve got to check this out. Pre-order the album here.

° Dreams °

Dreams is a group out of Portugal who recently sent over a phenomenal EP they’ve just released on cassette through Seven Sons Records. They opened for Ariel Pink when he played Portugal, and I’ll be surprised if they aren’t headlining their own tour by the end of the year. You have to give this tape a listen, which can be ordered by emailing Seven Sons at their myspace.

° LIVE: Chief + BustedBASS °

Busted BASS and I had an excellent time mixing at The Beauty Bar in Brooklyn last night. The drinks were cheap, beats were insane, and it was great to meet so many fans of Dipped in Dollars. We didn’t get a chance to record our set, but you can still enjoy this Gigamesh remix of Lykke Li we threw out in the mix. Stay tuned for more mixes/live sets we’ll be dropping in the next couple of months.

WHO WE ARE

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.

This site exists to promote artists, if you hear something you like, think about throwing the artist(s) a few dollars, buy an album, go to a concert, show them you care. If any artists or official people want us to take any of our links down, just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.

If you wish to contact the team, send mail to did@dippedindollars.com or for individual addresses, check here. (But please not both, duplicates are a drag)
