Substitute Teachers is our mix series, where we ask an artist to create a mix that will provide us with a better understanding of their process. Solar Bears are an electronic duo from Dublin who combine programming, acoustic instruments, synths and vintage tape machines into a gorgeously languid sound. They have two releases on Planet Mu that are well worth your while, and took some time out of their busy schedules to throw this gem together. Tracklist provided below.

WHO WE ARE

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. Along the way we were joined by Crimson and B.Darko. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.
