° Breakbot – The Lazy Sunday Selecta °

Electronic music’s Prince of Pop has dished us quite the myriad of jams with The Lazy Sunday Selecta. A real treat for the summer season, and an impressive permeation through the annals of some of history’s purest pop tracks, Breakbot nails it on the head with this mix. Give it a listen below.

° Katie Kim °

Solar Bears have become my sources for what’s going on out in Ireland these days, and just sent over gorgeous material from Katie Kim. I can definitely hear the Linda Perhacs piano/cello influence in Pause, which perfectly compliments her fragile voice and melodies. Any fans of early Warpaint/White Hiterland are going to love this.

° VIDEO: SBTRKT – “Wildfire” °

We’ve been simmering with SBTRKT‘s brilliant debut LP for the last few weeks, and were stoked to find this video for Wildfire in our mailbox a few days ago. The video, which unfortunately does not feature Yukimi Nagano, focuses on a series of paranormal events in a moisture-heavy bedroom. SBTRKT was officially released through Young Turks (who have been known to keep good company) yesterday, and purchasing the vinyl from independent retailers will include an exclusive track on gorgeously colored vinyl. Don’t forget to catch him live with Mux Mool and Shigeto at Glasslands next week.

° Rainbow Arabia – Blind (Salva Remix) °

I’m actually not super familiar with Rainbow Arabia which I’m quickly realizing is a huge shame. Luckily though, I am obsessed with everything that Salva is putting out these days, and this remix is no different. Energizing and addictive, this track is perfect for these hot summer nights.

WHO WE ARE

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.

This site exists to promote artists, if you hear something you like, think about throwing the artist(s) a few dollars, buy an album, go to a concert, show them you care. If any artists or official people want us to take any of our links down, just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.

If you wish to contact the team, send mail to did@dippedindollars.com or for individual addresses, check here. (But please not both, duplicates are a drag)
