I listened to this track by the Baltimore-based brother/sister duo White Life on repeat earlier this summer and never got around to writing about it (the shame!). I was pleasantly reminded however, by their upcoming DC show. They’ll be playing tomorrow night at Velvet Lounge, and I for one, will certainly be there, if you’re local come on out, and if not, there’ll be a live ustream of the show starting at 10pm (EST). For now, feel free to enjoy the soothing synths and guitar licks in this track that feels immediately familiar from the first listen. White Life – Time Is Wasting

Faux Pas is one of the first artists I ever blogged about here at Dipped in Dollars, and it’s always great to hear what he’s up to. Apparently these days he’s playing with Gotye and sent over this dope remix of their single “Somebody That I Used to Know”. He’s a fantastic remixer, so naturally it’s excellent. I’ve been consistently pleased with what I’m hearing come out of Australia these days.

Most of the UK’s brightest producers have focused their energy on producing deep house for the time being, and this very Jamie Harley-esque video from UK up-and-comer Throwing Snow complements his newfound aesthetic in true form. Sneaker Social Club, a label dedicated to exploring the connection between sneakers, ’90s raves, and the continuing cross-over between house and bass music, will be pressing it as their inagural 12″ this September. Throwing Snow is also doing some dope post-dub work that you can stream below.
