° VIDEO: Southern Shores – “Meridian” °

I’ve praised Southern Shores’ album Atlantic on here before, and if you missed that, then this video for “Meridian” is the loveliest reminder to check it out. The whole album is like a mysterious journey, one where you press play and go wherever the tide takes you and this video perfectly embodies that sense of wonder and release. I wish every party I went to could feel like this.

° EP: EVM128 – Groove Content °

Danger and I been have been digging EVM128‘s Groove Content EP, which he sent over late last week. Groove Content explores a diverse array of forms, and I’m particularly enamored with the chopped samples and pitch shifted melodies of its aptly titled opener. You should sit with this EP via London’s Meltdown Records right now.

° Onra – “Change of Heart” °

We bring you some of Onra‘s latest beatsmithing (via XLR8R), and it should help tie you over in the wait for his upcoming release, Chinoiseries Part 2. “Change of Heart” is in a vein similar to his work on Long Distance, as it features lush 80s samples filtered through Onra‘s signature production style. If you are in Japan, Australia, or New Zealand you will also be able to check him out live on his tour this fall.

WHO WE ARE

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.

This site exists to promote artists, if you hear something you like, think about throwing the artist(s) a few dollars, buy an album, go to a concert, show them you care. If any artists or official people want us to take any of our links down, just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.

If you wish to contact the team, send mail to did@dippedindollars.com or for individual addresses, check here. (But please not both, duplicates are a drag)
