Chief and I happened upon a great slice of Italo-disco this past week that encapsulates some of the genre’s best elements. Agostina Presta’s (a.k.a. AGO) 1982 boogie record “For You” is hard to find, but is a must listen for any nu-disco/electro-funk fanatics out there. While AGO is more famous for some of his later work, this album showcases a much more organic and cohesive body of work. From start to finish he envelopes a set of catchy, simply arranged tracks in a delightful array of crisp, clear, and punchy production techniques.
