Here in the northern hemisphere we are so very close to the turning point, the winter solstice. The sun is setting as I am writing this, and fittingly my musical cravings have shifted towards anything minimal. This track by Vortex Rikers perfectly satiates that desire. “Oceanic” is certainly an apt name as it is sparse and intensely atmospheric. I’m imagining that you’re gazing out your window at the dark night sky as you decide to press play, because that would be just perfect.

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. Along the way we were joined by Crimson and B.Darko.
