• LP: Amalia – Art Slave •

I finally have been able to check out Amalia‘s Art Slave, and it is a convincingly fresh album that deserves sharing. Originally released last March on Frankfurt-based Tokyo Dawn Records, Art Slave is a showcase of tight grooves and powerful vocal performance through a pronounced reinterpretation of classic, 80′s-era boogie and R&B vibes. Amalia‘s voice takes commanding lead under the impressive production of Swedish electro-funk guru, Opolopo. If you’ve been into some of the older funk/R&B tracks we’ve posted in the past, you’ll probably dig this. Get a preview of the album (or download the entire thing) here.
