Time No Place is a new label based out of LA that’s going to be releasing everything from Nguzunguzu to Rainbow Arabia this year, and they recently hooked us up with San Gabriel‘s “Gore Text”. San Gabriel is Butchy Fuego, an electronic producer who also plays drums in Boredoms, Nite Jewel, and sometimes Rainbow Arabia. He’s also produced tracks for Hecuba, Pit Er Pat, and These Are Powers, which doesn’t explain why the stark melodies and sharp rhythms of “Gore Text” fall more in line with the work of Fatima Al Qadiri and Bok Bok than any of his other projects. VOLFE, his debut LP, will drop in May.
