Astro Nautico and INNIT/Day Tripper Records have collaborated on a unique project which finds most of the label sampling Akria Kurosawa’s “The Seven Samurai” to for 7 track. Conversely, 7 members of the Japan-based INNIT have flipped sounds found in the westernized version of the same film, John Sturges‘ “The Magnificent Seven”. The release will be available both digitally and on cassette today, and they’ll be celebrating the release with a party tonight at Cameo Gallery in Brooklyn with additional support from Giraffage.
