Finland’s Kioski Rec sent over Mirel Wagner‘s video for No Death this morning. Similar to the form of Warpaint‘s Billie Holiday, No Death features languid acoustic guitar lines underscored by Mirel‘s captivating and murky voice. Katie Kim
Solar Bears have become my sources for what’s going on out in Ireland these days, and just sent over gorgeous material from Katie Kim. I can definitely hear the Linda Perhacs piano/cello influence in Pause, which perfectly compliments her fragile voice and melodies. Any fans of early Warpaint/White Hiterland are going to love this. Warpaint – “Undertow” (Blackbird Blackbird Remix)
Blackbird Blackbird appears to be the only one successfully riding the chillwave these days, so I guess he’ll have to fill those lonely beaches with reverb-heavy versions of our favorite gems.
