It’s been a while since I’ve checked in with Seattle’s Beat Connection, but I am stoked to hear that they’re still making waves. A little bird delivered their new track to me, and it is blissed out as expected, albeit a little softer than their older material. They’ll be down in Austin (along with most of the free world) for SXSW this year, so if you’re down there, be sure to check them out.

I was all over Beat Connection last summer, so I was pleasantly surprised when they sent me this video for “Silver Screen”. The tripped out psychadelic imagery is all the rage these days, and I’m on board. The summer jam pre-season is officially here.
So it was exactly one year ago today, that we had our first post here at D.I.D. I can’t believe it’s already been a year, we’ve come so far. In celebration of our first birthday, Chief and I both made celebratory mixes (he’ll be dropping his half, later today), entitled Sounds of Summer, to thank all of you for tagging along with us on this awesome journey.
