By now it is no secret that I love me some Body Language. They were first brought to my attention by Chief back in the winter months, and served as a key part of my playlist during the most epic road trip ever down to Austin for SXSW. Well, now they’re back with a new EP called Social Studies, and I couldn’t be happier. The tracks are catchy, the beats are infectious and their sound is more polished than ever. I am continually more and more impressed by these guys, and to top it all off, they’re giving this 4 track EP away for FREEhere. What a dream.
Opened my inbox yesterday to find a new remix of a track by my new favorite band, Body Language. “Sandwiches” is transformed from a sexy makeout song, into a sexy makeout song you can dance to. Can’t wait to be listening to this at a summertime pool party, but for now I’ll enjoy these first days of spring as March goes out like a lamb.
Ever since hearing this track from Body Language I have been completely in love with them. Their Speaks EP is truly marvelous, and if you aren’t already, you should be listening to it nonstop. If you live in my city (DC!) they’ll be playing at The Fridge next Saturday, and I am truly heartbroken that I cannot be in attendance, so you should be.
I was just sent this remix Toro Y Moi made for Brooklyn’s Body Language. The track is part of a special remix edition of their debut EP, Speaks, and I’m really digging the blissed-out Toro Y Moi reinterpretation. Reason is taking over 2k10. Check them on tour all winter.
The past two years I’ve made mixes to celebrate the joys of friend love (and beautiful music of course), and I’m at it again. This was meant to come to you on Valentine’s Day and “real life” pushed it back, but I think the theme is timeless. This is just a little token to thank you for being with us on this journey, and always remember, Danger Loves You. Tracklist: [...]
Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. Along the way we were joined by Crimson and B.Darko. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.
This site exists to promote artists, if you hear something you like, think about throwing the artist(s) a few dollars, buy an album, go to a concert, show them you care. If any artists or official people want us to take any of our links down, just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.
If you wish to contact the team, send mail to did@dippedindollars.com or for individual addresses, check here. (But please not both, duplicates are a drag)
