A full length, relatively high quality video of Breakbot’s live set at Rock’n Solex surfaced on youtube recently, and it is great seeing what this Ed Banger ground breaker has been up to in lieu of releasing new tracks. He is truly among the hottest post-deck DJs at the moment, and this hour long set spans a great blend of disco, electro, and house. Check it out.

This has been a good year for Dipped in Dollars. From getting a mention in the Guardian, previewing Jai Paul‘s album in XL’s New York office, interviewing artists like Gilles Peterson, Jensen Sportag and Onra to premiering exclusive mixes by Solar Bears, Teams, and Streets Of Beige, our second year has been filled with lots of fun. Hopefully we’ve been able to influence a few record purchases as well. There already are some big things in store for our third year, and Crimson and I have also made mixes to thank you all for the good times.

Breakbot threw us a tasty bone with his latest release, Fantasy, on Ed Banger‘s record store day Bee Sides release. It is in a vein similar to his last released track (Shades Of Black) and continues to demonstrate his ability to reincarnate disco while applying his own gloss. Look forward to a proper LP later on in the year.
