Breakbot has been busy finishing up his first official LP for Ed Banger Records for the time being, and I recently discovered this remix he did for Metronomy a few years ago. This one is up there with his reworks of Digitalism and Air. Metronomy‘s English Riviera will be out everywhere on April 19th.

Breakbot is king at spinning anything into gold, and I love what he’s done with Matthew Dear‘s You Put A Smell On Me. The eery, hard-hitting original is bathed in a Breakbot aesthetic that still resonates in these winter months. It took many years for Make You Mine to be released, and we hopefully won’t be waiting that long for a proper LP.
