° Bullion – Canterbury Mix °

Bullion has always complemented his releases with sprawling, eclectic mixes, and we were just sent a Canterbury Mix that he’s made in support of You Drive Me To Plastic. Canterbury sound is loosely used to describe a group of avant-garde/progressive rock musicians based around Canterbury in the late 60′s, and this mix features tracks by Robert Wyatt, Hatfield & The North, Caravan, and Gong. This is by far one of the best mixes to come out all year. You Drive Me To Plastic drops next Monday on Young Turks.

Magic Was Ruler is another primo cut from Bullion‘s stunning You Drive Me To Plastic NON-LP, and it’s going to be getting it’s very own limited 12″ vinyl release through Young Turks this May. Find out for yourself why the original sold out weeks before its official release.

° Bullion Mix For Benji B °

Bullion went on Benji B‘s J Dilla tribute show last week and gave a pretty in-depth interview about his origins before throwing out a brilliant set of mostly unreleased material. This is one the best things I’ve heard all year. You Drive Me To Plastic is being re-released in CD form for those who weren’t able to grab the limited edition vinyl through Young Turks this April.

WHO WE ARE

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.

This site exists to promote artists, if you hear something you like, think about throwing the artist(s) a few dollars, buy an album, go to a concert, show them you care. If any artists or official people want us to take any of our links down, just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.

If you wish to contact the team, send mail to did@dippedindollars.com or for individual addresses, check here. (But please not both, duplicates are a drag)
