Busted BASS and I will be mixing live at Beauty Bar in Brooklyn this Wednesday, August 25th from 10 pm – 4 am. We’ll be throwing out a lot of tracks we’ve featured on the site over the last year, as well as a few gems that’ll be out in the next couple of weeks. We’re really excited to take this bar over. There is no cover charge, but you should definitely take advantage of the drink specials going down that evening.

° Dam-Funk + HIGHLIFE Live °

Smax and I combined as HIGHLIFE and opened for Dam-Funk last Saturday. Our set included tracks from Hudson Mohawke, Flying Lotus, and Washed Out, as well as some of our own beats. I also got to engineer the show, and was really into Dam‘s set. His show was mostly a mix of classic funk with some of his own tracks, which were performed live. I haven’t seen people dance like that in years. Smax and I recorded our set and will be throwing it on the Comanche bandcamp very soon. Here is the first 8 minutes of our set.
