I first fell in love with Clare and the Reasons after attempting to attend a show at Rockwood Music Hall, at the recommendation of a friend. The show was cancelled, but I checked out her music anyway, and the rest is history. The song “Pluto” was the one that got me, it was poignant, timely and so perfectly written it was astounding to me. Well, Clare and the Reasons are back with a new album, Arrow. I’ve only heard one song so far, but I’m swooning already. Her voice is unique and piercing, flowing over bittersweet pop melodies. Press play, and you are sure to become a convert.
