° UNKLE – “The Runaway” (feat. Lupe Fiasco) °

Rock Steady just clued me in on a collaboration between Lupe Fiasco and UNKLE for UNKLE‘s The Answer EP, which came out on the 14th. I don’t know where Lupe‘s been for the last couple of months, but this is one of the strongest flows I’ve heard all year. UNKLE should start producing more for MCs. You can catch them on tour throughout the US and Mexico this October.

° Lupe Fiasco, “What You Want” °

So I know I’m late on the most recently leaked Lupe Fiasco track. It’s so simple and laid back that except for that undeniable voice, I almost didn’t recognize it as Lupe. It’s allegedly unfinished, but I’m down with the raw nature of this track, and it’s probably my favorite thing I’ve heard off of Lasers thus far.

° Lupe Fiasco, “I’m Beaming” °

Phew. I’ve been on an extended (mental) holiday, but now, back to the tracks. Lupe Fiasco broke my heart (and surely millions of doe-eyed children were crestfallen as well), when I learned that his mixtape set to drop on Christmas was canceled. Now who would fill our stockings with cheer? We’d have to wait until the album drops next YEAR?! After about a week of uncontrollably rhyming my laments, a co-sympathizer turned me on to this leaked track, “I’m Beaming”. Suddenly everything was better, I got my fix, and a week later I come to bring it to you. This Neptunes produced track is the perfect sample taste, leaving me just as eager for the rest of the album.

I just saw these Nike commercials for the first time today, and I am in awe of how awesome they are. Though maybe I’m just a sucker for puppets…

WHO WE ARE

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.

This site exists to promote artists, if you hear something you like, think about throwing the artist(s) a few dollars, buy an album, go to a concert, show them you care. If any artists or official people want us to take any of our links down, just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.

If you wish to contact the team, send mail to did@dippedindollars.com or for individual addresses, check here. (But please not both, duplicates are a drag)
