° VIDEO: Rusko – “Hold On” °

So one of my favorite tracks of the year so far now has an official video. It’s a simple depiction of life on tour for Rusko, which is made worth watching for the pure brilliance of the track alone. In addition, this video has convinced me of two things: 1. This man is practically a god in the UK, and 2. I need to get myself to a Rusko show ASAP. If you haven’t heard O.M.G.! yet, you are missing out on so much more than you know.

° Rusko, O.M.G.! °

So I’ve been absent here for a while, but now I’m back. What was I doing while I was gone you ask? Listening to Rusko‘s new album and nothing else. It’s been a month since the release of O.M.G.! (the album title alone is an excellent reason to tune in), and in my opinion, it only gets better and better with each listen. These tracks are undeniably catchy, bass-heavy, and infinitely layered (with the slickest production of course). Trying to choose tracks representative of the whole is always difficult with a truly exquisite album, so I’ve chosen to bring you the songs that first hit me, the ones I couldn’t (and let’s be real, still can’t) get out of my head. This album is sure to get any wallflower tapping their foot and is bound to inspire a summer of sweaty dancefloors.

° Rusko, “Woo-Boost” °

I just received an email about Woo-Boost, the debut single from Rusko‘s upcoming release on Mad Decent. Things have been going very well for Rusko since he produced this track for M.I.A., and it’s exciting to hear him return to that dubstep sound. Any fans of Rusko‘s previous works are going to love this. You can buy the single here, or wait for O.M.G.! when it drops this May.

° Rusko °

I’ve heard Rusko‘s name being thrown around a lot lately, and his recent production for M.I.A. convinced me to check out the rest of his work. This Leeds native makes a pretty hard form of dubstep that’s been able to transcend genres. He also makes some pretty radical remixes. The UK sure has been grinding out some heavy hitters lately.

Rusko – Jahova

Rusko – Cockney Thug (Caspa Remix)

Kid Sister – Pro Nails (Rusko Remix)

WHO WE ARE

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.

This site exists to promote artists, if you hear something you like, think about throwing the artist(s) a few dollars, buy an album, go to a concert, show them you care. If any artists or official people want us to take any of our links down, just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.

If you wish to contact the team, send mail to did@dippedindollars.com or for individual addresses, check here. (But please not both, duplicates are a drag)
