° Sebastien Tellier Remixed °

The guys over at Record Makers recently told me about a Sebastian Tellier remix album that dropped back in April. So many of the artists we’ve featured have thrown down on this album. Sexuality was one of my favorite releases of the decade, and it’s great to see it get this treatment. You can purchase the album on Amazon for less that $9.

° Sebastien Tellier, “Look” Video °

Record Makers just dropped this very NSFW, Mrzyk & Moriceau directed video for Sebastien Tellier‘s Look. This was my favorite song on Sexuality, and I can’t believe this video. It only gets better after the diamonds. Look by Sebastien Tellier

This article was written by Crimson  of Comanche. Sebastien Tellier is one of my all time favorites.  He blends quality production with varied influences to create something original and accessible. You know are truly enjoying a song when nearly four minutes of  a delicate yet spunky bass, piano, and drum vamp passes you by in a timeless fashion. Listen to La Ritournelle (with beats by Tony Allen) and you will get the vibe.  From his most recent album Sexuality, the synth driven Look fully demonstrates Sebastien‘s expertise in mood creation. The slowly evolving, softly syncopated chord changes move at a perfect pace.  In a diversion from his usual up-tempo feel, the song Universe–compiled in the soundtrack from Daft Punk‘s flim Electroma–features acoustic guitar, tremolo vocals, and antiquated orchestral lines to fully showcase Tellier‘s stylistic range.  Enjoy.

WHO WE ARE

Dipped in Dollars (D.I.D.) is the brainchild of Chief and Danger. While attending a crazy liberal arts college in Vermont, we realized our mutual love of righteous dance music, art, and the people behind them. D.I.D. exists to share this love with you and hopefully turn you on to something new.

This site exists to promote artists, if you hear something you like, think about throwing the artist(s) a few dollars, buy an album, go to a concert, show them you care. If any artists or official people want us to take any of our links down, just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.

If you wish to contact the team, send mail to did@dippedindollars.com or for individual addresses, check here. (But please not both, duplicates are a drag)
