We love Star Slinger. A lot. Everything he makes is a hip-hop infused delight, and this is no exception. A magical video that is tripped out in the most fantastic way, through the use of kaleidoscopic images. Props to Lunchbox Theory for putting me on!

Not sure if I can accurately describe how much we love Gold Panda, but perhaps if we just keep writing about him, you’ll get the idea. Never have I been so utterly transfixed by such a minimal album. Lucky Shiner took over my mind for a month and this video for the new single, “Marriage”, is taking over my day. There is perfect harmony between this track and the imagery, it is simple and subtle projecting images of pure happiness. It would be useless to describe to you what happens here, you just have to feel it.

So everything about this video is fucking amazing. I feel confident making a statement like that as I have watched this at least five times today. Here come the reasons. This song is insanely catchy (it sounds mostly like a tricked out “Telephone”), I have no idea what they’re saying (except for a well placed “baby!”), but it doesn’t matter, I’ve been singing the melody all day. The choreography is incredible, and their outfits are even better (pretty sure one of the dudes is wearing a sweater dress). I love the weird tension of their kind of suggestive dance moves combined with their childlike outfits and the fact that they seem to be in a children’s infirmary. It really takes me back to the days of US pop music in the mid 90s when everyone was manicured and manufactured. The fact that Co-ed School were so meticulously crafted makes me like them even more, plus they have 10 members, which is just bananas. I can’t stop watching this, so I guess I’m officially on the K-pop wave. Mad props to Acéphale’s twitter for hooking this up, and to Denmark Records for putting me onto K-pop in the first place.

I received this new video from Def Sound yesterday, and the morphing pastels combined with a smooth flow make it a win for me. Short but sweet.

So everyone’s been talking about James Blake‘s cover of Feist‘s amazing track, “Limit To Your Love”, and with good reason. He’s transformed the gorgeous original into a stark, minimal and downright haunting version that truly reflects his sound, and certainly contains a beauty all its own. Now the track has an official video, which is expectedly creepy, but entirely appropriate. The more I listen to this, the more I fall in love with every nuance, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

Ever since I first listened to them, I’ve been a big fan of LexiconDon. Something about their tracks just really gets me. Through the (at times) ridiculous lyrics, there’s a glimmer of authenticity and sincerity that manages to win me over. So the boys are back with a video for “Student Body”. I haven’t decided yet whether the use of pre-teen video girls is awesome or disturbing, but I’m leaning towards the former. Decide for yourself and let me know what you think.

This beautiful and exquisitely quirky video comes from the London duo Jaymo & Andy George. The video features an epic wrestling match with J & AG serving as the announcers. The premise is hilarious, it’s well executed, and the song is dope to boot. Bonus remix of the track by Thomas Gandey (aka Cagedbaby).

It seems like awesome videos always come in waves, and this one really hits the spot. This one comes from Def Sound, an artist working out of LA. The video takes the form of a 70s action flick, beautifully shot, with a wacky cast and a wonderfully superfluous plot. You can’t help but come out of this with a smile on your face, and this addictive song in your head. Download the “ITape” for free here.

“Gold Dust”, a pretty phenomenal track by Londonite DJ Fresh arrived via email not too long ago, but today it is enhanced even further by this phenomenal music video. It begins as a simple video of people playing double dutch, but escalates in awesomeness as the moves get more and more intense. It’s an incredibly catchy song, and the jump ropes have this hypnotic effect, sucking you further and further into it. The album is out August 9, be sure to check it out.

DJ Fresh – Golddust

So one of my favorite tracks of the year so far now has an official video. It’s a simple depiction of life on tour for Rusko, which is made worth watching for the pure brilliance of the track alone. In addition, this video has convinced me of two things: 1. This man is practically a god in the UK, and 2. I need to get myself to a Rusko show ASAP. If you haven’t heard O.M.G.! yet, you are missing out on so much more than you know.
